Corrections Policy
Last updated: September 2026
SportsDesk is committed to accuracy and transparency. When we publish an error, we correct it promptly and visibly. This policy explains how corrections work across our newsroom.
How We Handle Corrections
Any factual error — whether in a score, a statistic, a name, a date, or a substantive detail — is corrected as soon as it is verified. A correction note is appended to the bottom of the article explaining what was changed and when. The original incorrect information is not silently erased; the correction is documented for transparency.
Reporting an Error
If you believe we have published something inaccurate, email us at corrections@sportsdesk.co with the article URL and a description of the error. Our editorial team reviews every report and responds within 48 hours.
Updates vs. Corrections
A correction fixes a factual error. An update adds new information to a developing story. Updates are labeled with a timestamped editor's note at the top of the article. Corrections are noted at the bottom.
Editorial Independence
No advertiser, sponsor, or partner influences our corrections process. Corrections are made solely at the discretion of our editorial team based on verified facts. See our Editorial Ethics Policy for more on our independence standards.
