Jayson Tatum scored 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Boston Celtics used a 15-2 fourth-quarter run to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 118-109 on Saturday night at TD Garden.
Luka Doncic led the Lakers with 28 points and nine assists in his first trip to Boston since the blockbuster trade, but the Celtics depth wore down Los Angeles down the stretch. Boston outscored the Lakers 31-22 in the final frame.
"They made the plays in the last six minutes and we did not," Doncic said.
Boston improved to 30-9 at home. The Lakers continue a six-game road trip Monday in Milwaukee.
