CFP Bracket Set: Ohio State, Texas Meet in Semifinal
The selection committee unveils a 12-team bracket featuring three SEC and two Big Ten programs.

The College Football Playoff selection committee unveiled its 12-team bracket on Sunday, pitting Ohio State against Texas in a semifinal at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and slotting Georgia as the No. 1 overall seed.
Ohio State earned the No. 3 seed after its win over Michigan, while Texas claimed the No. 4 seed. Defending champion Michigan missed the field after a late-season loss.
"It is the most competitive bracket we have had," committee chair Warde Manuel said.
First-round games begin next weekend. The national championship game is scheduled for Jan. 20.
