Georgia kicker Peyton Woodring hit a 35-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Bulldogs past Alabama 27-24 on Saturday night at Sanford Stadium in a top-five showdown.
The Crimson Tide had tied the game with 1:47 remaining on a Jalen Milroe touchdown run, but Georgia quarterback Carson Beck drove the Bulldogs 58 yards in eight plays to set up the winner.
"That is a playoff football team," Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said of Alabama. "We answered."
The win cements Georgia as a CFP lock and drops Alabama onto the bubble entering the final week of the regular season.
