UConn closed on a 19-7 run to beat Duke 72-68 on Monday night at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion in a marquee non-conference matchup.
The Huskies trailed by six with under eight minutes to play before the defending national champions clamped down defensively. Duke committed four turnovers down the stretch.
"That is a March-type win for us," UConn head coach Dan Hurley said.
UConn improved to 10-2. Duke fell to 9-3 entering ACC play.
